MASSIVE RAVE FUELED BY SOCIAL MEDIA ATTRACTS OVER 2,000 PARTYGOERS

Project X

Massive rave fueled by social media attracts over 2,000 partygoers . According to the WXMI report, a man in Hinton Township sent out invitations via Facebook for a “Project P” party, inspired by the 2012 movie, “Project X,” about teenagers who use the power of social media to throw a wild house party. The invitations were emblazoned with the tagline, “Prepare for the crazyest [sic] event of your lifetime.” The party, which attracted over 2,000 partygoers, lived up to the hype. It was a nightmare for law enforcement and emergency medical services. Police opted not to break up the massive party. That’s because they were concerned that the majority of the attendees were minors and under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, making them potential hazards on the roadways when driving home from the rural party site. EMS units had their hands full with alcohol and drug overdose cases. The amount of partygoers and illegally parked cars made it difficult for ambulances to reach those who needed treatment. Law enforcement is investigating the incident, including the claim of one local woman who reported she was sexually assaulted during the party. James Taylor, 20, who hosted the party on his family's property, could face multiple misdemeanor charges. For his part, Taylor told WXMI that while he hosted the party, he did not force anyone to attend and engage in illegal activities. He says parents should be held accountable for letting their minor children attend an all-night party. Taylor claimed that anyone who has a problem with him throwing a property on his rural property is a “spaz.” - See more at: http://www.fox30jax.com/news/news/national/massive-rave-fueled-social-media-attracts-over-200/ngwqm/#sthash.XKGou6u9.dpuf Source : WAWS
