Jay Z beefBack in 2009, Freekey Zekey opened up about his beef with Jay Z to VladTV. He started out by explaining how he was cool with Dame Dash after Dipset signed to Roc-A-Fella, but he didn't gel with Hova. Moving on, Freekey said that things came to a head with Jay Z when the rapper left them hanging over a verse for their album, which resulted in it getting pushed back. The Harlem emcee said that he was at the studio with Cam'ron one day when they ran into Jay Z and pinned him down for a verse.

platinum. The situation, along with the Roc-A-Fella split, resulted in the Dipset rapper believing that Jay was shady.
